Profile Products Becomes Audubon Conservation Country Club Member

Products and practices that support environmentally friendly philosophies helped Profile Products earn the designation.

BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. – Demonstrating a commitment to improve the environment and support ecological practices, Profile Products announced its membership in Audubon International’s Conservation Country Club through Audubon International’s “Fifty in Five” campaign. The “Fifty in Five” campaign seeks to have 50 percent of all golf courses in the United States enrolled and active in Audubon programs by 2007.

Audubon International promotes environmental education and initiatives that emphasize sustainable land management while protecting water, wildlife and natural resources in populated areas. Members of Audubon International’s Conservation Country Club pledge to support and foster the ideals of land stewardship and ecological preservation that Audubon International promotes.

Profile became a member of Audubon International’s Conservation Country Club based on shared conservation principles and emphasis on environmental education and ecologically minded business practices throughout the golf industry. Audubon International’s successful educational programs include sessions that teach best management practices in environmental awareness to hotel and resort industries, environmental planning assistance for new developments and assisting municipalities to create economically and ecologically sustainable communities.

“It just makes sense for Profile Products to become an Audubon International Conservation Country Club member in that we support and identify with organizations that make positive, real impacts to improve the environment,” said Sam Stimmel, director of Profile Golf. “Profile meets and is committed to upholding the conservation and preservation ideals that Audubon International endorses in all its business practices.”

In serving many businesses and organizations that practice environmentally sound lessons, Profile maintains Audubon International’s ideals through several of its products, including soil amendments that helps turf utilize water and retain nutrients more efficiently and ultimately results in fewer maintenance inputs. Also, Profile’s erosion control products, such as the Futerra F4 Netless Erosion Control Blanket is designed without netting, whuch can entangle and harm wildlife. These and other Profile products reflect the principles of Audubon International and are designed to be cost-efficient for customers while also creating a healthier environment.
