Project EverGreen has enlisted a well-known veteran, former Marine gunnery sergeant R. Lee Ermey, the “Gunny,” to serve as a celebrity spokesperson for its recently-announced public service program, “GreenCare for Troops-Serving You While You Serve Us.”
“Gunny has become a familiar face through his many film and TV roles,” says Den Gardner, executive director of Project EverGreen. “Equally important, as a veteran Leatherneck, he is in total agreement with the mission of GreenCare for Troops. We look forward to working with him to ensure news of the program reaches those who can benefit from it most.”

GreenCare for Troops is designed to help affected families of armed forces personnel whose major breadwinner is serving in the Middle East. Eligible families can register with Project EverGreen to receive a year’s free lawn and landscape care from local lawn and landscape contractors who are volunteering their services.
Contractors interested in volunteering or in obtaining more information about GreenCare for Troops should access the Project EverGreen website at www.projectevergreen.com or call toll-free 877-758-4835.
