Support for the work of Project EverGreen continues to grow. A report of financial contributions to the national non-profit organization shows that, so far in 2006, nearly $400,000 has been received or committed from a broad spectrum of companies, associations and individuals within the green industry.
"This is an encouraging show of support and solidarity for our efforts," says Den Gardner, executive director of Project EverGreen. "It's particularly important at a time when we are ramping up our programs to raise consumer awareness about the importance of preserving and enhancing green spaces."
According to Gardner, Project Evergreen contributors through Febr. 1 included the following companies:

Individual contributors include Lawn & Landscape magazine Editorial Director Cindy Code, current president of Project Evergreen, as well as outgoing Project EverGreen President Paul McDonough.
Gardner says that continuing to grow the support that Project EverGreen has already earned this year will be crucial to maintaining its overall goals.
