Prophit Launches Design Consulting Firm

Irrigation industry veteran Russel Prophit has formed a new consulting firm, Precise Irrigation Design and Consulting, Inc., based in Winter Haven, Fla.

The firm will provide irrigation design services for landscape architects, engineers, developers and contractors in the Southeastern United States and will specialize in the development of high-quality irrigation designs for residential, commercial, industrial, sports field and public area projects. The firm will also offer evaluation of existing systems, water use and supply analysis, construction administration and programming of central control systems.

“Our approach is to partner with landscape architecture and engineering firms to create irrigation designs that exactly match the needs of the project and that implement appropriate water-saving design principles,” Prophit says. “We aim to reduce hassles for our clients by offering quick turn-arounds and personalized service.”

As the Principal of the new firm, Prophit brings over 30 years of practical experience to its design team. He holds multiple certifications from the Irrigation Association as a Certified Irrigation Designer, Certified Irrigation Contractor and Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor. He is active in the Irrigation Association’s state-based efforts to recommend implementation of water-saving standards by local agencies.

Prophit started in the industry as a contractor in his family’s business and went on to work for some of the largest landscape and irrigation contracting firms in Florida. Over the last 10 years, he has developed extensive practical experience in irrigation design and construction management for large projects, as well as expertise in the design and implementation of centralized irrigation control systems.
