Rain Bird Services Corp. continues to keep irrigation professionals in Baltimore and Santa Maria at the top of their game. To learn more about the latest in irrigation systems and products and how to run your business better, Rain Bird Academy invites industry practitioners to its Regional Irrigation Training Camp Feb. 19-23 at the Sheraton Baltimore North, located at 903 Dulaney Valley Road in Towson, Md. and at Kern Turf, located at 2380 A Street in Santa Maria.
Rain Bird Academy has positioned itself as the leader in irrigation training by providing landscape irrigation professionals with expert instruction on the latest irrigation products, newest installation methods, best practices in irrigation design and cutting edge business skills. These non-manufacturer specific classes are designed to help contractors, distributors, architects and specifiers create savings and conserve water through improved irrigation practices. Participants will earn one Continuing Education Unit (CEU) from the Irrigation Association for each hour of class attended.
Those who would benefit from this training include irrigation contractors, system designers, distributors, technicians, landscape architects, educators and irrigation managers from public agencies. Select courses are available for Spanish-speaking professionals. Rain Bird Academy can customize courses to fit the needs of irrigation professional in every situation. Training classes are broken out depending on participants' experience and include three main sections:
- Business Skills Training - Rain Bird provides informative, insightful information for those irrigation professionals and business owners wanting to learn more about financial management, profitable job estimating and customer selling skills.
- Landscape Irrigation Training -Landscape Irrigation Training teaches participants about irrigation design, products and product troubleshooting as well as intelligent water management.
- Central Control Training - Participants learn more about the technology, hardware and benefits that comprise today's central controller systems. Participants will also learn about central control maintenance and troubleshooting. Training specific to Central Controller installation and operation is also available this year. Courses take place at Rain Bird Academy's training facilities in Tucson, Ariz., and are held on the following dates:

Specific "education tracks" have been designed on Irrigation Design, Contractor Business Skills, and for those who are just starting out in irrigation. Irrigation professionals can choose from one to four days of complete irrigation training with instructors who conduct one of the most respected and comprehensive training experiences in the irrigation industry.
