The camp, located in Randleman, N.C., enriches the lives of children who otherwise would not be able to go to camp because of their illnesses. Campers enjoy a life-changing camping experience in a safe, medically-sound environment.
Kyle and Patti Petty established the camp in 2004 to honor their son Adam. The camp, which has the sights, sounds, look and feel of a racetrack, is supported entirely by donations. The campers, ages 7 to 15, attend free of charge.
Weeklong, disease-specific sessions for up to 125 kids per session are offered during the summer. Family weekends for up to 32 families per weekend are offered during the fall, winter and spring.
RedMax supplies the Victory Junction Gang Camp and the other Petty Enterprise properties with trimmers, edgers, blowers and chainsaws. Groundskeepers use the equipment to keep the properties attractive and safe.
