ORLANDO, Fla. – Registrations are now being accepted for the Florida Pest Management Association (FPMA) Convention and Exposition, June 16-18, 2004, at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

The FPMA convention blends networking, educational opportunities and social and recreational activities with a 75-plus-booth trade show featuring innovative products and services. Ten hours of continuing education covering GHP, L&O, Core, Termite and Fumigation will be offered for Florida certified operators.

“There’s truly something for everyone,” notes FPMA Executive Vice President Toni Caithness, CAE. “FPMA’s Annual Convention is known for its family atmosphere, informative sessions and top exhibits. This year we’ll also be featuring testing for NPMA’s QualityPro designation, which is only offered to joint partners of NPMA – a unique benefit FPMA holds among pest control associations in the state of Florida.”

Media interviewing tips and techniques for professionals also will be offered in a special media training session by Cindy Mannes, executive director of the Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA) and the National Pest Management Association’s (NPMA) director of public affairs.

Event highlights include a special keynote address on designing your destiny by Bill Quain, Ph.D., author of several books including the top-sellers Reclaiming the American Dream and Ten Rules to Break & Ten Rules to Make. Preceding Quain’s keynote will be a special performance by the world-famous Disney’s Voices of Liberty.

On a festive note, a “Past, Present and Future” Theme Party will feature the extravagant show group La Mystique. Sports enthusiasts can participate in golf, tennis and skeet shooting activities. And, a formal banquet wraps up the summer event.

Advance registration discounts run through May 15. For more information on FPMA’s Annual Convention and Exposition, contact the Association at 800/426-4829 or visit www.flpma.org.
