Ohio Naval & Marine Corps Reserve Center Issues RFP

(Posted March 21, 2002) Naval & Marine Corps Reserve Center, 28828 Glenwood Road, Perrysburg, Ohio, seeks services consisting of cutting, trimming, edging, one-time spring and fall cleanup, removing old mulch and adding new, fertilization and weed control. Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision to provide lawn maintenance services in accordance with the requirements of the specification. The term of the contract shall be a 12-month base period with the actual performance period of April-October, plus four 12-month option periods to be exercised at the Government’s discretion.

Pre-Award submittals (technical evaluation factors) are required to participate in this project. The contractor will be selected on best valve determination with technical and price considerations. Failure to supply any of this information may result in rejection of the quote. Contractor must be in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) for an award. Solicitation packages will be only available electronically at http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. Solicitation issue date was March 20, 2002. Quotes are due Apr 1, 2002, 4:00pm EST. This is a Small Business Set-aside, NAICS 561730-Landscaping Services, standard size $6 million.

Tucson Department of Agriculture Issues RFP

(Posted March 20, 2002) The Coronado National Forest, 300 West Congress, Tucson, Ariz., intends to solicit quotes for the Sabino Gateway Landscape Project. The project includes clearing vegetation, salvaging cacti and boulders, grading, planting trees, shrubs, and cacti, designing and installing an irrigation system, and installing boulders, timber steps, riprap, and decomposed granite paths. Contractor must provide all labor and materials to complete the job. Contract time is 45 calendar days. Price range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00.

West Virginia Department of Agriculture Issues RFP

(Posted March 19, 2002) The Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, R-9 Ohio River Basin Shared Procurement Cluster, Monongahela National Forest 200 Sycamore Street, Elkins, WV, 26241, seeks mowing services. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools and incidental supplies necessary to perform roadside mowing along Forest Service roads within the boundaries of the Daniel Boone National Forest in eastern Kentucky. Mowing consists of cutting all grass, weeds and woody plant growth, one inch in diameter or less, to a height of six inches or less along all designated roads.

The mowing is divided into four units: Item 01 - Morehead and Stanton Ranger Districts, approximately 169.7 miles; Item 02 - London North and Redbird Ranger Districts, approximately 148.3 miles; Item 03 - London South and Somerset North Ranger Districts, 101.6 miles; and Item 04 - Somerset South and Stearns Ranger Districts, approximately 165.1 miles.

Multiple awards may be made based on the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered. Indiana Department of the Navy Issues RFP

(Posted March 18, 2002) Department of the Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Engineering Field Activity, Midwest, NSWC, 300 Highway 361 B-2516, Crane, Ind., 47522, seeks services to provide grounds maintenance services in accordance with the requirements of the specification. The operations to be performed shall include cutting, trimming and edging, one-time grounds cleanup and fertilization. These operations shall be performed in accordance with the site plan provided. The term of this contract shall be for a 12-month base period, plus four 12-month option periods to be exercised at the Government's discretion. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision.

Solicitation packages will be only available electronically. Solicitation packages may be obtained at the following website: http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. Estimated solicitation issue/availability date is March 18, 2002. Quotes will be due as stated on the solicitation documents, but no later than 10 days after the solicitation is issued. For this solicitation, the combination of technical submittals is equal in value to the price. The two technical requirements, listed in order of importance, are past performance and performance narrative. This solicitation is a small business set-aside. The applicable NAICS Code is 561730 Landscaping Services. The small business size standard is $5 million.
