The U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric and Administration (NOAA), and National Weather Service Office in Gaylord, Mich., intend to procure snow removal services for a base period and four (4) option years. Snow removal services to include but are not limited to:
a. The parking lot of the main facility and upper air building, excluding the locations where vehicles are parked at the time when work is performed.
b. The sidewalks to the entry ways on the east and south ends of the building, storage building entryway, shed entryway, and around all exterior doors, to include the front, back, and large sliding doors on either side of the upper air building.
c. Once snow has been removed from designated sidewalks and around all exterior doors, the Contractor will apply ice melting granules which will not kill grass and/or shrubs.
d.The snow will be plowed in such a manner so as not to hinder access to or
fulfilling of the National Weather Service Mission to protect life and property.
e.The snow will be plowed and shoveled to allow trash removal vehicles access to the trash dumpster on the south side of the building.

The Washington Headquarters Services Acquisition and Procurement Office (WHS A&PO) intends to issue a solicitation for snow and ice removal services for the Pentagon Reservation. The Pentagon Building, the National Defense Headquarters, is located in Arlington, Va., across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. The Pentagon Building is included on the National Register of Historic Places. The Pentagon Complex consists of the Pentagon Building, the Remote Delivery Facility, the Pentagon Heating and Refrigeration Plant and a variety of smaller support facilities. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary to perform all the requirements in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) included in Solicitation Number HQ0034-08-R-1080.
