The Horticultural Research Institute (HRI) recently granted $205,000 to 17 high-priority projects and four scholarships.
The institute’s executive committee selected the awarded projects based on value to the green industry and scientific merit.
Notable projects include: Development of New Landscape Plants for all Regions of North America (collaborative project involving three research sites); Evaluation of Resistance and Susceptibility of Ash Species to Emerald Ash Borer (Ohio State University/OARDC and Michigan State University); and Liverwort Control In Container Crops (Oregon State University and Auburn University).
