Industry consultant Jim Huston, Lawn & Landscape columnist and author of How to Price Landscape & Irrigation Projects, explained common pricing pitfalls contractors make, as well as his recommendations for residential maintenance pricing in “To Each His Own,” on page 114 of the March issue of Lawn & Landscape.
He calls his method of choice the “lawn maintenance package,” which creates a day rate, which is the amount a crew needs to bill every day in order to cover all costs and be profitable.
