CLEVELAND - Do you know an interior landscape company owner or manager who is a trendsetter? A management master? A mentor to all his or her employees?

Then it's time to nominate this person for Interior Business magazine's inaugural Professional of the Year Award, recognizing outstanding leaders in business management.

To be eligible, the nominee must:

  • Have 10 years or more of management experience in the industry;
  • Put innovative business management practices to work every day;
  • Actively participate in industry associations and educational meetings, demonstrating a commitment to better the industry;
  • Possess exceptional horticultural knowledge and skills, and/or continually refine those skills;
  • Exhibit excellence in customer service and employee safety;
  • Be nominated by an industry peer or co-worker.

    A panel of judges who will review and score each entry using the same parameters will select the winner. Finalists will be notified by letter in late October; the winner will be notified in November. The winner will be featured on the cover of the January/February issue of Interior Business magazine and will be recognized, along with finalists, at Tropical Plant Industry Exposition in January.

    Look for entry forms for the Professional of the Year contest in the September/October issue of Interior Business magazine and online. You can also contact Ali Cybulski, managing editor, to have an entry form faxed or e-mailed to you. You can contact Ali at 800/456-0707 or acybulski@gie.net.
