NEW YORK - Richton International Corporation announced Feb. 27, 2001, that it has acquired Desert Sprinkler for an undisclosed amount of cash.
Desert Sprinkler, located in Nevada, will operate as part of Richton's subsidiary, Century Supply Corp. (Century Rainaid), a distributor of irrigation supplies. This represents Richton's first entry into the high growth Nevada market.
Richton also announced the opening of 15 new Century branches in its existing territory, bringing its total to 150 in 35 states and Canada.
Richton is a diversified service company with two businesses: Century Supply Corp., a wholesale distributor of irrigation products and systems, and CBE Technologies Inc. and Creative Business Concepts Inc., resellers of computer and systems integration products and providers of networking and consulting services.
