Bedford Hills, N.Y.-based SavATree is a 2007-08 Audubon Partner for the Environment in cooperation with Audubon International, an environmental organization that empowers people to practice good environmental stewardship and manage natural resources responsibly.
As an Audubon Partner, SavATree has agreed to complete at least one environmental improvement project this year and document its results. Audubon International will provide educational and project information and staff support, as well as awards and recognition for completed projects.
Maria Falkenberg will spearhead participation, of all eighteen facilities. The emphasis of the Audubon Partners program is on achieving results: greater awareness, increased participation in environmental stewardship activities, and an improved environment.
