SavATree Named in EPA Environmental Performance Track Program

The company was the first tree care company to earn the green credential.

SavATree was named a member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) National Environmental Performance Track program. They are the first in their industry to achieve this prestigious green credential. This places SavATree in the company of facilities like Nestle, Frito-Lay and Toyota by stepping forward to help define the next generation of corporate environmental stewardship.

Performance Track recognizes facilities that have a strong record of environmental compliance, as well as three year goals for environmental improvement, internal systems to manage their environmental impacts, and community outreach programs.

“EPA applauds our Performance Track partners who are going above and beyond environmental requirements and producing real, measurable results,” said EPA Administrator Stephen L. Johnson. “By committing to conservation today, these leading companies are helping shape a healthier, more prosperous tomorrow.”

“SavATree was founded with a primary brand promise of ‘environmental sensibility.’' said Daniel van Starrenburg, president of SavATree. "Long before it was popular, my team was greening up our services through the painstaking process of testing new, less intrusive products and methods and incorporating them into our mix. We have always been on the look out for natural and organic ways of enhancing the landscape while promoting sustainability. As we continue our green crusade it only seemed fitting to partner with the EPA and commit to being ‘green’ not only in the landscape, but throughout our business operations.” SavATree’s initiatives include using renewable energy, conserving resources, using more recycled/responsible products and land preservation.
