SavATree makes acquisition, names two new regional VPs

The company acquired Clear Cut Tree and Lawn Care of Monroe, Connecticut.

BEDFORD HILLS, NY– SavATree has named two new regional vice presidents and also acquired Clear Cut Tree and Lawn Care of Monroe, Connecticut.

“Clear Cut Tree has been an institution in southwestern Connecticut,” said Daniel van Starrenburg, CEO of SavATree. “We’re honored that that they have decided to partner with SavATree to expand their offerings. Their knowledgeable team will be a great asset going forward as we honor our mutual commitment to high quality and environmentally sensible care.”

Clear Cut Tree was founded in 2007 and has offered full service tree care to the region ever since. Dan and Meghan Riccio, owners of Clear-Cut Tree, will remain to ensure a seamless transition. Arborist Mike Frangione and Clear Cut’s team of specialists will be staying on to serve the community. Clients will now have access to an enhanced range of professional tree, shrub and lawn care services including a choice of organic treatment options.

Mike Schoeni and Guy Gunther have been appointed to the positions of regional vice presidents.

Schoeni is a 30-year veteran of SavATree and joined shortly after graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. in Forestry and Soil Science. He previously served SavATree as a district manager, branch manager, and ISA certified Arborist. In his new role as regional vice president, he will oversee the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions, focusing on customer service, revenue, and operations.

Gunther comes to SavATree from the communications industry. He has extensive experience with developing new markets, as well as an MBA in Economics and Marketing from the University of Chicago. As regional vice president, he will support the West and Mid-West regions, markets that he has lived and worked in for years. Gunther’s background and education will contribute to further geographic growth.
