Savio, National Wildlife Federation Join Forces

Savio Engineering and National Wildlife Federation® (NWF) are joining forces on a national promotional campaign offering pond owners an opportunity to purchase one of several new pond kits and create a NWF Certified Wildlife Habitat in the process. With every purchase of Savio Pond Packages® or Savio Pond Free® Waterfalls and Streams, Savio will donate a portion of the proceeds to benefit National Wildlife Federation. The relationship was announced today by Savio Engineering's Marketing Director, Bill Lane, and NWF's Acting Director for Cause Marketing, Tony Summers.

The promotion, which began on Sept. 1, will feature special NWF packaging on the outside of select Savio Products. On the inside are all the materials necessary to apply for a Wildlife Habitat Certification, which includes full NWF membership.

Protecting wildlife habitat is a major initiative for NWF and the primary criteria necessary to meet NWF habitat certification requirements are food, water and shelter and places to raise young. Replacing a barren lawn with running water, beautiful wildflowers, and native plants boosts the appeal of a piece of property, while providing a nurturing place for wildlife, which can be crucial in areas where commercial and residential development has eliminated most natural habitats

Products that will carry the NWF logo include Pond Packages and Pond Free Packages.  These complete water feature kits provide a solid foundation upon which to build low-maintenance water gardens. Pond Packages include everything necessary to build a full size pond - up to 16-by-21-feet. Pond Free Packages allow you to create a recycling waterfall or streamscape environment up to 33 feet long. All that is missing are the rocks, plants and water.

Both parties expect the promotion to drive awareness of the NWF’s wildlife habitat program and a percentage of the sales revenue generated from each kit will go to support the NWF’s ongoing conservation and education efforts.
