Scag Salutes America’s Heroes

Scag Power Equipment presented the Disabled American Veterans with a donation check for $130,000.

At the company's recent International sales meeting held in Sheboygan, Wis., Scag Power Equipment presented the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), with a donation check for $130,000. In support of America’s true heroes, Scag Power Equipment, in cooperation with its distributors and dealers, has committed to contribute $50 to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) for each Scag Freedom Z mower retailed and registered through 2007.

The donation presented represents Freedom Z mowers sold and registered through mid-September. The remaining 2007 donation will be made in early 2008.

“The freedom we all enjoy as Americans comes at a very dear price, and it always has," says Chris Frame, manager of marketing for Scag. "American military personnel and their families have made, and continue to make, sacrifices to ensure the freedom and security of countless people around the world. They are America’s true heroes and we must be there for them in their time of need. The DAV is the perfect avenue to do so. We look forward to presenting the DAV with another substantial check at the end of the year.”

The Disabled American Veterans is a 1.3-million member, non-profit organization that was founded in 1920 and chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1932.

“The DAV is dedicated to a single purpose: building better lives for our nation’s disabled veterans and their families,” Frame says.
