School of Management Keynote Speakers Announced

The list of keynote speakers for the 2003 Lawn & Landscape's School of Management boasts a lineup of prominent industry minds.

Keynote speakers for the 2003 Lawn & Landscape School of Management will pack quite a "punch" with attendees as they share valuable information about how to grow and manage a lawn or landscape company with more efficiency and greater results.

The keynote sessions, scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 9, and Monday, Feb. 10, will focus on management topics green industry contractors face on a day-to-day basis such as creating a plan for employee development and operating a business under uncertain economic conditions. The keynote sessions will also cover important “big picture” topics such as how to structure your company for success and how to develop a strategic business plan. Admission to all keynote sessions is included in the purchase of a full conference registration.

“No matter the topic, the keynote speakers will be able to offer attendees useful tips on improving their business management practices,” said Bob West, group publisher for Lawn & Landscape Media Group. “Our keynote speakers bring with them years of business knowledge both inside and outside the industry and attendees should take full advantage of the opportunity to learn from these experts.”

Attendees will tour the company’s facility and have the opportunity to talk with the Stiles Landscape management team, ask questions about how they run their operation, pick up new ideas for their businesses and compare notes with fellow contractors. The cost is $20 per person and includes round-trip transportation and refreshments. Advance registration and payment is required.

The School of Management is scheduled for Feb. 8-11, 2003, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and is geared toward managers of lawn and landscape contractor companies of all sizes who are interested in furthering their knowledge of business management practices.
