RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., – BASF Corp. has hired Scott Houston as its Professional Turf & Ornamentals regional sales manager for its northern market area. Houston formerly served as a forestry products specialist for BASF, managing territories in Florida and Georgia.
“Scott’s experience in marketing and sales positions within the BASF specialty products division, crop, and horticulture markets has provided him with a broad knowledge of our company, its products and, most importantly, how we care for our customers,” said Dr. Toni Bucci, BASF T&O business manager.
As the northern regional sales manager, Houston will work with distribution channels to ensure BASF sales representatives are meeting distributor needs and, ultimately, the needs of their end users, including lawn care professionals and golf course superintendents.
Houston also worked as a customer business representative in Florida and Georgia for American Cyanamid Co. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of South Florida.
