The Scotts Company has announced an addition to its Board of Directors. Gordon Brunner was appointed to serve on the company’s board until 2006.
“Scotts and its shareholders are fortunate to attract someone with Gordon's background and knowledge to our board,” said Jim Hagedorn, chairman and chief executive officer. “He has a rich understanding of unique technical and scientific issues at Scotts, as well as a strong background in the consumer products industry.”
Brunner, who will be a member of the audit committee, fills the seat formerly held by L. Jack Van Fossen, who recently announced his retirement. The new member of the board was chief technology officer at Procter & Gamble and a member of that company's Board of Directors. He has been a chairman of the Science Advisory Board at Scotts since its inception in 2000.
Scotts is a leading supplier of products for the green industry.
