MARYSVILLE, Ohio - The Scotts Company recently announced that it has combined its professional businesses in North America and Europe into a Global Professional Business Group.
The company cited the growth of its international professional business, synergies between product lines and an opportunity to focus marketing efforts on global brands as key factors in support of the new structure.
James Hagedorn, the company’s president and chief operating officer, said, “Sharpening our professional focus on horticulture, turf seed and branded plants will further support the success of the worldwide professional business.”
The company reported that distributors and customers should not expect any delays or immediate changes in product availability or methods by which products are taken to market.
