In today's economy, cost is a major factor to consider when it comes to offering employees healthcare coverage as a benefit of employment. To meet the needs of members employing a seasonal workforce, the American Nursery & Landscape Association (ANLA) now offers green industry firms a Seasonal Worker Healthcare Assistance plan. With this plan, employers can offer their employees access to affordable healthcare coverage for as little as $3.95 per week, at no cost to the employer.
The plan offers options for preventive care, dental and vision coverage, discount prescription benefits, doctor and emergency room visits, hospitalization, term lifea nd accidental death coverage. Employees select one of three levels of coverage: level 1 at $3.95 per week, level 2 at $6.45 per week and level 3 at $10.45 per week. Each level progressively offers higher monetary coverage and additional benefit options.
The Seasonal Worker Healthcare Assistance Plan is a low-cost, limited benefit medical plan endorsed by ANLA for the landscape and nursery workforce. Employees of ANLA and member firms cannot be turned down for coverage and have the freedom to select their own physicians. For more information, please call ANLA at 202/789-2900.
