ServiceMaster Appoints New Leadership

Positions shift within the company.

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. – Some changing of the guards at The ServiceMaster Co. resulted in Jonathan Ward taking the seat as the company’s chairman of the board. Ernest Mrozek was elected president and chief operating officer of the company.

Ward, 47, currently serves as chief operating officer of ServiceMaster, while Mrozek, 48, held the position of group president and chief operating officer of ServiceMaster Consumer Services.

Ward said ServiceMaster’s market position as “America’s Home Service Company” and its leading brands, which include TruGreen ChemLawn, TruGreen LandCare and Terminix, among others, will continue to drive its success. “It’s exciting to have the opportunity to lead ServiceMaster during this important and challenging time,” he said in an April 29 yahoo.com report.

Ward added that Mrozek’s operationally-focused background and leadership as COO will further benefit the company. Mrozek looks forward to his new responsibilities. “Taking our company to the next level of accomplishment and performance will require progress both within individual businesses and through our cross-business initiatives,” he said in the report.

ServiceMaster currently outsources services for more than 11.5 million residential and commercial customers, with combined customer-level revenue of approximately $5.1 billion. Core services include lawn care and landscape maintenance, termite and pest control, plumbing, heating and air conditioning services, cleaning, furniture repair and home warranty.
