DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. – Management changes at ServiceMaster continued in early 2005 with the announcement that TruGreen ChemLawn and TruGreen LandCare will now report to Ernie Mrozek, President and Chief Financial Officer of ServiceMaster. This, after Don Karnes, former TruGreen Cos. president, and Dave Slott, former president of TruGreen ChemLawn left he company in November.

“Our TruGreen Cos. will benefit from Ernie’s seasoned leadership as we work to align our lawn care and land care teams to better serve our customers,” said Jonathan Ward, chairman and chief executive officer of ServiceMaster. “We look forward to improved coordination and efficiencies between the two sides of the business yielding improved operational performance and results.”

Additionally, ServiceMaster announced Tuesday that Albert Cantu will be leaving his position as president of Terminix to serve the company as group business president of ServiceMaster with responsibility for American Residential Services (ARS), ServiceMaster Clean, Merry Maids and Furniture Medic.
"Albert has done a remarkable job of growing the business and building the Terminix brand,” Ward said. “His proven skills and ability to lead a field service organization will be very important as ARS works to take full advantage of the HVAC and plumbing markets. Those same skills will help our ServiceMaster Clean, Merry Maids and Furniture Medic franchisees continue to grow and develop.”
Replacing Cantu is Katrina Helmkamp, formerly vice president and director of The Boston Consulting Group. Also, Thomas Brackett, division vice president of Terminix, has been promoted to chief operating officer for the company.
