DANBURY, Conn. – Shemin Nurseries made four personnel announcements recently. Two new employees have accepted positions at the company’s Atlanta, Ga. location, as well as two new Ohio-based employees who will be working out of the Columbus and Cincinatti offices.
In the Atlanta-area market, David Berry has accepted a position as key account representative. Berry will be responsible for establishing new business relationships and increasing business with select key accounts and market segments.
David is a 25-year veteran of the green industry with in-depth experience in sales, customer service and production. He is graduate of the University of Georgia, a past Chairman of the Georgia Green industry Association (GGIA) and a member of the American Nursery and Landscape Association.
Also joining the Atlanta sales team is George Sigalas who accepted the position of sales executive. Sigalas is fluent in Spanish and has in-depth knowledge of irrigation and hardscapes. He will be responsible for broadening existing relationships as well as establishing new customers.
In the Ohio market, Shemin welcomed J. Douglas Knaup as sales executive for the Columbus location. Doug is a 20 year veteran of the green industry with experience in sales, landscaping and customer service. Doug is an experienced veteran of the green industry with in-depth knowledge of hardscapes, sales and disease prevention. He is also active in many industry associations such as the Ohio Nursery & Landscape Association and the Columbus Landscape Association.
In Cincinatti, Steve Hartkemeyer also accepted a position as a Shemin sales executive. Steve will be responsible for broadening existing relationships as well as establishing new customers.
Shemin’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing Don Smedberg welcomed all four new sales team members, noting that each gentleman will bring to the table the skills and leadership Shemin needs to accomplish growth and sales goals in their respective markets.
