“We are excited to bring Shemin’s usual complete line of nursery stock, hardlines, and landscape lighting supplies to Lexington and the surrounding market,” said Steffan Burns, CEO of Shemin. “We think that our offering will expand the premium of services provided for many years by the competent staff of Gold Star, many of whom will continue to serve their customers as part of the Shemin team.”
While not an acquisition, Shemin purchased Gold Star's stock and has begun leasing the site from which Gold Star had been operating. The new location Additionally, “establishes a Shemin presence closer to the inner city of Boston, while letting us more easily supply customers on the northern and southern shores," Burns noted. "We’re looking forward to meeting our new friends this spring.”
