Shindaiwa Announces New Supply Chain Leadership

15-year veteran in supply chain management named new supply chain manager.

TUALATIN, Ore. – Shindaiwa has named a new supply chain manager. Tom Gile will head the company’s supply chain system, which was designed to meet customers’ demands and expectations through improved focus and elimination of production waste with an emphasis on material velocity.

 

Gile’s primary role at Shindaiwa is to improve the accuracy and timeliness of all related information, including forecasting, order processing, production and inventory planning.

 

“Tom’s role seems simple at first glance but the complex intricacies of supply chain management are vitally important for our future success,” says Tom Bunch, president, Shindaiwa. “To achieve this, Tom will initiate a new level of cooperative and collaborative planning with Shindaiwa customers and major vendors. The end result will be improved customer service with lower logistical and inventory costs.”

 

Gile has 15 years experience in forecasting, planning, purchasing, logistics and lean management. He has a bachelor of science degree in business with an emphasis in operations management from Oregon State University and a masters in business administration from Portland State University.
