Tualatin, Ore. – Shindaiwa was recently awarded the 2005 Manufacturer of the Year award by the Equipment & Engine Training Council (EETC) for the company’s contribution and commitment to the goals of the EETC in addressing and resolving the shortage of service technicians in the power equipment industry.
“Shindaiwa believes in the goals of the EETC as we continue to work towards a foundation of excellence for our service technicians,” says Jim Roche, executive director of the EETC. “Shindaiwa has always trusted that training is a vital part of a successful business; this is exemplified through the excellent efforts in training dealer technicians over the years.”
Roche also credits Pete Fernald, Shindaiwa technical services manager and former EETC president. “We have been better served through Pete’s leadership,” Roche says.
