Shindaiwa Makes Organizational Changes

The company recently announced a handful of changes to its handheld division’s organization.

Shindaiwa, Inc. recently announced several organizational changes to its new handheld division.

The strategic realignment was based on three goals:
1) To further improve the division’s overall responsiveness to customers and market conditions
2) Accelerate unit assembly and cost-reduction opportunities outside of Japan
3) Wholly support a new leadership role with the handheld division

Dennis Stauch, vice president of engineering, has been appointed vice president of engineering and manufacturing. In his new role, he will be working to find new ways to further improve Shindaiwa products and their operational competitiveness in the field. He will also focus on reducing lead times and unit costs while maintaining the product line’s integrity.

Bob Hudlow, who has been a manager at Shindaiwa for six years, is the new director of operations and manufacturing. He will report directly to Stauch. In this new capacity, Hudlow will be responsible for stepping up local assembly and cost-reduction efforts.

Jon Ferguson, a 10-year Shindaiwa veteran, has been promoted to director of finance and management services. He will also take responsibility for the company’s customer service and human resources departments.

In other Shindaiwa news, Pete Fernald, technical sales service manager, has been appointed to the company’s executive committee. Yuki Kamada, global manager working at the office in Hiroshima, Japan, has also joined the executive committee.
