The Snow & Ice Management Association (SIMA) announced Friday an industrywide effort to collect charitable donations to aid in the tsunami relief efforts in Southeast Asia. According to a letter sent out by SIMA Board President Alan Steiman, the organization will be collecting donations until Feb. 1, at which point all contributions will be forwarded to the Red Cross.
“When a disaster of this magnitude strikes, the thought of how you can help is sometimes overwhelming,” Steiman says in his letter. “We would like to help by collecting donations from our members and their employees and submitting them to the American Red Cross or, for our Canadian members, the Canadian Red Cross.”
