ROSWELL, Ga. - Sipcam Agro USA announced Jan. 26, 2001, that is has acquired the sales and marketing rights to the emulsifiable concentrate (EC) formulation of mefenoxam fungicide.
Most recently marketed by the Uniroyal Chemical Company under the name Quell™ Fungicide, mefenoxam EC is a preventative and curative treatment for a wide variety of turf and ornamental diseases associated with pythium and phytophthora. Sipcam is in the process of discontinuing the Quell product and plans to re-introduce the popular systemic fungicide in the near future under its own trade name.
The Sipcam product will contain 2 pounds of active ingredient per gallon and will be available to turf and ornamental professionals directly through the company’s nationwide network of 33 distributors. It will be packaged in 2 x 2.5-gallon and 2 x 1-gallon cases and also available in quarts.
Mefenoxam EC is a low-foaming formulation suitable for tank mixing with a variety of other fungicides. According to Sipcam, the product provides proven performance, excellent residual and no phytotoxicity when used according to label instructions.
