Just for dealers

Free seminars, education and a special preview day at GIE+EXPO.

Dealers looking for ways to improve efficiency and profitability will find seminars with compelling content, technician training on advanced and basic tracks, panel discussions with best-practice tips and networking at the Green Industry & Equipment Expo.

GIE+EXPO starts off with an exclusive preview day for dealers, retailers, distributors and media Oct. 21. The Dealer Resource Pavilion will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with free seminars for outdoor power equipment dealership owners and managers, led by dealership consultant Bob Clements.

There will be a welcome reception on the show floor from 5 to 7 p.m. where many exhibitors will host games, food, festivities and prizes in their booths.

Don’t miss the showroom, along with a parts and service department where Clements and his team will share their latest ideas and tips on how to turn slow seasons into profitable seasons, improve your bottom line in the parts and service departments and more.

“Good ideas are the foundation for a strong growing business,” Clements says. “To me, the most important part of a dealer attending the Dealer Pavilion, and specifically the Dealer Day, is it gives the owners and managers of these dealerships the ability to immerse themselves into a pool of ideas and best practices that will allow them to take back to their dealerships and begin to implement to improve both their dealerships and their personal lives.”

The free management classes kick off with The Seven Principles of a High-performance Dealership. The first of which is “Stop the Bleeding!” “It might be a cash flow issue, an employee issue, a family issue, tax, or insurance issue that is killing the dealership, but before the dealership can move forward it’s a problem that has to be dealt with and solved,” Clements says. “As we consult with dealerships, this is the very first thing we work to resolve, because until we stop the bleeding, nothing else we do will have a lasting impact.”
