The South Carolina Nursery & Landscape Association (SCNLA) has recognized Springdale Outdoor, a Columbia, S.C.-based outdoor services company, as its Outstanding Landscaping Contractor of the Year. The award was presented to Springdale Outdoor President David Gantt at the South Carolina Horticulture Industry Trade Show Feb. 7 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
We selected Springdale Outdoor Services for this honor because of its longstanding leadership and its commitment to excellence in our industry and within our organization, said Donna Shealy Foster, executive director of the SCNLA.
Springdale Outdoor is humbled and honored to receive this prestigious award, said Gantt. This award is a testament to the talent and professionalism of each member of the Springdale Outdoor team and is the perfect start to a year in which we plan to significantly expand our business and services throughout the Midlands.
Gantt has been an active member of SCNLA for more than 16 years and presently serves as the Chairman of the associations legislative committee. He is a past president and former member of the board for seven years.
In addition to the Outstanding Landscaping Contractor of the Year, the association honored the Outstanding Nursery Professional of the Year, Outstanding Gardening Center of the Year and Outstanding Contribution to the Industry. Established in 1958, the South Carolina Nursery & Landscape Association promotes, stimulate interest in and disseminates knowledge to the public about the states ornamental horticulture industries. SCNLA has more than 560 members.
