Eric Moore of Moore Landscapes, Inc., of Northbrook, has been elected president of the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association (ILCA) 850-member organization for the 2006-2007 term.

Also serving as officers are: Matt Synnestvedt, Synnestvedt Company, Round Lake, as vice president; and Tyler Smith, Tyler's Landscaping Service, Inc., Rockford as secretary/treasurer.
Robert S. Hursthouse, Hursthouse Inc., Bolingbrook, serves as immediate past president.

Founded in 1959, ILCA promotes education, professionalism and quality workmanship through seminars, workshops, trade shows, networking and social events, legislative involvement, publications, awards, financial and scholarship grants.
ILCA's state-wide membership consists of firms engaged in the business of designing, constructing and/or maintaining properties for landscape beautification. Involved also are businesses providing related services, materials or equipment, government agencies, hospitals, cemeteries, not-for-profit and out-of-state firms. Member company employees, educators, researchers, students and retired members may also join.
