SGI was named 2006 recipient of the John Redmond Memorial Award (sponsored by Landscape Contractors Insurance Services, Inc.), one of the highest awards given at the ceremony, which recognizes the company providing the best overall landscape maintenance in California. The award was earned for the company’s fine work for the City of Santa Clarita’s Zone T 46 Northbridge project.
SGI also received two other best-in-California awards for excellence: First Place in the Unlimited Commercial Maintenance - Over Five-Year-Old Project category (sponsored by LESCO) for outstanding work on the City of Santa Clarita’s Zone T1 medians on McBean Parkway, Newhall Ranch Road, and Valencia Boulevard; and an Achievement Award in the Large Commercial Maintenance - Under Five-Year-Old Project category (sponsored by Target Specialty Products) for the City of Santa Clarita’s Zone 7 parkway strip.
“To be recognized by our peers for the dedication to excellence with which we at SGI approach each one of our projects is indeed an honor," says SGI President Richard Angelo. "I congratulate every one of our team members who helped earn these awards, and thank the City of Santa Clarita for the opportunity to serve them.”
