Steiner Moves Manufacturing Hub

Steiner's relocation from Ohio to Wisconsin is meant to elevate the company's product line growth and stability within the market.

The manufacturing hub of Steiner, a Jacobsen Commercial Grounds Care brand of lawn and turf equipment, has moved from Dalton, Ohio, to Johnson Creek, Wis. The move is intended to position the product line for further growth and improve its quality measures.

“The Steiner brand has been extremely successful throughout the years,” observed Mike Clayton, vice president of Jacobsen Commercial Grounds Care. “The relocation to Johnson Creek demonstrates our commitment to the Steiner brand. By exploiting the economies of scale in this facility, we are now in a position to grow the product line even more.”

Although the entire move took eight months, customer demands were not impacted. Relocation was completed June 30.

Jacobsen’s Johnson Creek facility, which also manufactures Jacobsen, Bobcat, Bunton and Ryan brands of grounds maintenance equipment, will allow Steiner to take advantage of its state-of-the-art manufacturing setting – providing advanced quality control systems, streamlined manufacturing and increased engineering resources.

In addition to growing Steiner’s product line and improving its quality, moving the brand to Johnson Creek will allow Steiner the support of Jacobsen’s world-class CustomerOne product support program and a standard two-year warranty program on all products.
