Stens Corp. is partnering with Liquid Combustion Technology (LCT) to become its exclusive parts distributor in North America. Stens will also manage the service network including recruitment of new service centers and processing of all warranty claims.
LCT is a U.S.-owned and operated company with employees worldwide and more than 30 years of engine manufacturing experience. LCT is a full-service manufacturer of small engines, building them from the ground up including concept, design, patent and engineering.
Stens will initially offer the 208cc (6 hp), 291cc (8.5 hp) and 414cc (12 hp) engines and LCT parts. These general replacement, horizontal shaft engines are designed for use in a variety of outdoor power equipment including generators, pressure washers, water pumps, compressors, blowers and tillers.
LCT controls the quality of its product by closely managing operations and working with OEMs to track issues through their quality systems. Warranty data shows that LCT has under a 1 percent defect rate, which is equivalent to or better than industry leaders. For customers dealing with emission restrictions, LCT routinely performs emissions testing and has found that LCT engines are EPA and CARB approved and consistently outperform competitor engines in side-by-side laboratory emissions testing.
Stens Corp., Golf Division, supplies replacement parts and accessories to more than 50,000 customers worldwide through its U.S. and International distribution network and is a respected member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. Stens is a subsidiary of Ariens Co., a manufacturer of premier lawn and garden equipment.
