The award honors excellence in non-broadcast video and television program categories. The Telly is one of the most sought-after awards by industry leaders, from large international firms to local production companies and ad agencies, according to the organization’s Web site.

“We wanted a fresh look at the operation and safety of chain saws,” says Peter Burton, vice president of sales and marketing at STIHL Inc. “John produced an exceptional piece of work, and we thought it might be worthy of an award – to have John receive two awards for this work is truly outstanding.”

Keeler’s hour-long program is broken into four segments allowing the viewer to scan and target the information needed. Keeler wrote, produced and directed the DVD presentation that has sold thousands through STIHL dealers and STIHL Inc.’s Web site. The cost of the DVD is five dollars.

“Our aim was to keep the cost low, so we could get the DVD in front of as many users as possible,” Keeler says. The project took a year to produce, according to Keeler who edited the program at STIHL’s Virginia Beach facility.

The DVD can be purchased for $5, plus shipping, by visiting the Information section of www.stihlusa.com.
