FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Joe Janssen, president of Stiles Landscape Co., today announced that two of the company’s projects, Hawks Landing and The Hampton Inn Ft. Lauderdale/Plantation, received Fort Lauderdale’s 20th annual “Plantation Landscaping Award for Nurturing Our Town” (P.L.A.N.T.) awards.
The awards, which were won in the “commercial establishment larger than 10,000 square feet” category, recognized the vast array of lush tropical foliage surrounding the projects, which capture South Florida’s native landscape, according to Stiles.
Under Janssen’s leadership, Stiles Landscape Co. has garnered numerous awards and honors, including the Landscaping Award of Distinction, an environmental award from the Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) 2000, which recognized the company's work on the National Car Rental Center (now called Office Depot Center) and Pro Player Stadium. Other recent honors were 2002’s Broward Beautiful Awards for seven Stiles projects, such as International Place at Sawgrass, Huntington Centre I and 301 Las Olas Redevelopment; as well as the Florida Nurserymen and Growers Association Landscaping awards for two of Stiles’ projects – the Sawgrass International Corporate Park and Courtyard by Marriott.
These new awards just add to Stiles’ continued success in South Florida.
