STM Adopts ValleyCrest Name

A former acquisition changes its name to strengthen a growing national identity.

STM Landscape Services, one of the larger landscape maintenance firms in the mid-Atlantic region, changed its name to ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance. This reflects an evolution from a regional brand into one of the nation's leading landscape maintenance and construction services companies and is part of ValleyCrest’s rebranding efforts that took place late last year when the company changed its name from Environmental Industries. Acquired by ValleyCrest Companies in 2000, STM was founded as Shenandoah Turf Management by Gary Blosser in 1977, and has offices in Richmond, Oakton and Newport News, Va., and Gaithersburg, Md.

The ValleyCrest identity unites STM's long-standing commercial and residential landscape maintenance expertise with the depth of ValleyCrest Companies resources and services. "I'm proud of our strong local teams who continue their legacy of personalized attention and high-quality service," said Roger Zino, president, ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance.

"We will continue to deliver the personal service and positive results customers rely on to create and sustain the value of their landscapes," explained Richard Sperber, president and chief operating officer of ValleyCrest Companies. "We want all of our customers to count on us for peace of mind when fulfilling their entire range of landscape construction and maintenance needs."
