Strategic Planning is the Focus of the 2002 Lawn & Landscape Conference

The educational program at the 2002 Lawn & Landscape Business Strategies Conference will offer attendees the basic tips for forming a strategic plan.

CLEVELAND -- The challenges of managing and growing a lawn care or landscape contracting business in a fluctuating economy has left many owners and managers wondering what they need to do to secure the future of their company. To help owners and managers find the answers to those questions, the 2002 Lawn & Landscape Business Strategies Conference will feature two-days of in-depth sessions on how contractors can successfully develop and implement a strategic business plan for their company. 

The educational program at the 2002 Lawn & Landscape Business Strategies Conference offers attendees a comprehensive overview of the strategic planning process. The sessions will introduce contractors to all the aspects that must be considered and included when drafting an effective plan. Session topics and speakers include:

The conference will also offer a facility tour of Yardmaster, one of Ohio’s leading landscape contractors. Yardmaster is a suburban Cleveland full-service company with more than 150 full-time employees. You will tour the company’s facility and have the opportunity to talk with the Yardmaster management team and ask questions on how they run their operation. It is a great way to pick up new ideas for your business and compare notes with fellow contractors. The tour will take place Friday, November 1, 2002 from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. The cost is $20 per person and includes round-trip transportation and refreshments. Attendees will also have the chance to participate in a real eye-opener of an event as you join fellow attendees for a series of Contractor Roundtables on Saturday, November 2, 2002 from 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. discussing today’s industry “hot” topics. Roundtable sessions will include how to establish employee incentive programs, using labor saving equipment, insurance dos and don’ts, contract selling for commercial accounts and many more. The roundtables are included in the price of your conference registration.
