Study Shows Trees Improve Health

A Japanese study shows people who live near trees often outlive those who don't.

Working around trees may be beneficial to your health.

The May issue of Reader's Digest reported a Japanese study showing that people who lived around trees, even in urban environments, lived longer than those who didn't.

Residents who living near parks or tree-lined streets were more likely to outlive those surrounded by asphalt, regardless of age, sex or marital or socioeconomic status.
