Greensboro, N.C. – Syngenta Professional Products is bolstering its turf and ornamentals (T&O) sales force with the addition of Tom Halvorson, Howard Jaekle and Pablo Perez.
“The addition of these three professionals strengthens an already effective Syngenta turf and ornamentals sales team and strengthens our commitment to this increasingly important segment of the business,” said Keelan Pulliam, head, Syngenta Professional Products. “We’re pleased to bring the tremendous knowledge and experience that Tom, Howard and Pablo offer to our customers in the golf course, lawn care and ornamental production markets.”
Halvorson has been appointed as Midwest district sales manager; Jaekle is the new Northeast district sales manager and Perez becomes a sales specialist in South Florida. Placement of this trio in these previously open positions rounds out the Syngenta T&O sales team.
With a degree in agricultural economics and speech communications from North Dakota State University, Halvorson has been with Syngenta for nearly 12 years. Halvorson started as an intern with ICI Americas (a Syngenta legacy company) in 1992 and went on to become a hotline representative. Halvorson has experience in the Western Corn Belt as a sales and technical representative with Zeneca (legacy Syngenta) and in 1998, became a district manager for the Syngenta Crop Protection agriculture division.
Jaekle has been with Syngenta and its legacy companies in various capacities since 1982. With a degree in economics from Cornell University, Jaekle brings his vast sales and marketing experience to the Syngenta T&O team. Serving as a marketing manager, he led the development and deployment of the customer relationship management and customer-focused capabilities and culture for the Syngenta Professional Products business unit. With experience in agriculture and specialty markets, Jaekle leads the Northeast sales team as the district manager for the region.
A native of South Florida, Perez joins the Syngenta T&O team with extensive experience in the ornamental production industry. As the general manager for 11 years of Rain Forest Nursery, a Miami-based landscape production wholesaler, Perez gained immense knowledge of the ornamentals industry. Prior to joining Syngenta, Perez was the South Florida territory manager for The Scotts Company. With an agriculture degree focused in ornamental horticulture from the University, Perez maximizes the Syngenta presence.
