GREENSBORO, N.C. – Rob Neill has been named vice president of Syngenta Professional Products for North America, the company announced recently. Neill, formerly vice president of marketing for Syngenta Crop Protection, will oversee the Syngenta division that creates pest and vegetation management solutions for the golf, lawn and landscape, and ornamental industries.

“Rob has been instrumental in the development and execution of our business strategy in the U.S.,” said Valdemar Fischer, president of Syngenta Crop Protection in North America. “Those strategic skills will help tremendously in guiding and growing our professional products division, and keeping us focused on creating innovative products that respond best to customer needs.”

Neill has been with Syngenta and its legacy companies for more than 24 years, serving in global product management and overseeing marketing in the U.K. and Latin America.

“I am looking forward to this exciting opportunity because I think we can do great things,” said Neill. “We have already proved with products like Heritage fungicide for turf and Impasse Termite Blocker for home builders that we can develop ways to help professionals better do their job, whether it’s in pest management, turf and ornamentals or in vegetation management.”

Neill is a graduate of the University of Guelph (Canada) with a B.S. in agriculture and York University (Canada) with an M.B.A. He will be replaced by Travis Dickinson as vice president of marketing for Syngenta Crop Protection. Dickinson, who has been with Syngenta since 1986, has led business development for the Syngenta corn and soybean markets for the last two years.

Neill replaces Bill Lewis who left Syngenta in January to head Arysta LifeScience.
