Syngenta’s Medallion Fungicide Now Labeled for Control of Anthracnose

The updated label will help turf and golf professionals control another disease in their clients lawns.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Medallion® fungicide from Syngenta is now labeled for control of the turf disease anthracnose.

With the expanded label, Syngenta says Medallion can be used to effectively control anthracnose in a rotational program with other Syngenta products, including Heritage® fungicide, Daconil® fungicide, and Banner MAXX® fungicide. Medallion is also labeled for control of other turf and ornamental diseases, including snow mold, brown patch, and gray leaf spot.

“With the addition of anthracnose to the list of diseases controlled by Medallion, superintendents now have another weapon to use in rotational programs to combat the disease,” said David Ross, Ph.D., technical manager for Syngenta Professional Products. “Medallion has a unique mode of action that makes it especially effective in a rotational approach. Its revised label provides further proof of the expansiveness, versatility and efficacy of the Syngenta portfolio of fungicides.”

Medallion is labeled for use in the golf, professional lawn care, and ornamental markets.  It is available in a wettable-powder formulation in 1-ounce water-soluble packets.
