Syngenta Professional Products has developed a series of disease pressure guides designed to help lawn and landscape professionals better predict when conditions might be right for an outbreak of selected major diseases in their area.
The guides highlight key geographic areas and present a compilation of data charts that display optimal timing for preventive applications aimed at common turfgrass diseases. "They are designed to show the reader the historic progression of disease pressure in a given area and help lawn care operators better schedule preventive fungicide applications," said David Ross, Ph.D., technical manager for Syngenta.
The charts are available from Syngenta sales representatives and online at http://www.greencastonline.com. GreenCast also offers soil temperature mapping, links to university news and weather data.
