Tanaka Launches OPE Industry’s First Weblog

AUBURN, Wash. – Tanaka announced this week that it has become the first manufacturer in the outdoor power equipment industry to launch a company weblog or “blog.”  The Tanaka blog, which officially launched on July 13, provides end-users and dealers with a closer look into Tanaka’s products and culture.

“The introduction of the Tanaka blog is an ideal way to communicate more effectively with our diverse customer base,” said Mark Woodling, marketing communications manager for International Sales & Marketing (ISM), Tanaka’s exclusive sales and marketing firm in North America. “Company blogs have quickly been established as a mainstream communication medium and we are excited to have the industry’s first one.”

Adding a new facet to the company’s recently updated Web site, the blog currently features posts from Woodling and Randy Haslam, VP Technical for Tanaka, with topics on customer service and Tanaka products. Woodling says he hopes to update the blog regularly with new posts to educate Tanaka customers about the company and its products.
