AUBURN, Wash – In July, Tanaka announced that its unique shaft/gear-driven walk-behind edger would be brought back to the company’s product line. Tanaka has announced additional details about the product, which will be displayed in November at the Green Inudstry Expo (GIE).

With a suggested retail price of $799.99, the TLE-600 will be available to purchase from authorized Tanaka dealers beginning the first week of February 2006.
The TLE-600 features an optimized 50-cc, 2.5-hp Tanaka two-stroke engine. Other components of the unit will remain the same as the previous model, the TLE-550. Additional features inlclude a 10.5-mm, solid steel drive shaft; heavy-duty, two-stage air filtration system; hand lever-activated height-adjustment system; large, rounded front wheel; and optional drop-wheel/curb-riding kit. The TLE-600 complies with EPA emissions standards, but will not be available in California.
Tanaka will be displaying the TLE-600 at GIE in Orlando, Fla., Nov. 3 to 5. Attendees will be able to demo the unit as well as enter to win the very first production unit when it arrives.
