Team Engine, a software platform for the green industries, has introduced a WhatsApp integration, making it easier for companies to communicate with their field workforces, particularly those without access to email or text messaging.
This new feature supports businesses that rely on diverse local teams and H-2B visa workers, many of whom don’t have U.S. phone numbers or access to text messaging.
Landscaping companies often face challenges staying connected with a dispersed workforce when traditional communication channels, such as email and phone calls, fall short. Team Engine has addressed this by enabling two-way text communication, but until now, it did not provide a solution for communicating with H-2B workers and other Spanish-speaking field staff who primarily use WhatsApp.
In 2023, the United States employed over 211,000 H-2B workers, with nearly 40% in landscaping positions. WhatsApp has become a popular tool in the landscaping industry because it allows employees to stay connected without needing a U.S. phone number, making it an essential tool for workers without access to traditional phone services.
The WhatsApp integration, combined with Team Engine’s AI-driven message translation, ensures that employer communications are received and understood by every employee, regardless of their language or platform.
